Increase property values in Sarasota means better service coming soon

The City of Sarasota is looking at an additional $5 million in the city coffer’s due to property value increases over the past year. City leadership are reviewing the 16% increase to find the best ways to spend the residents money. A few ideas include more robust ‘smart city’ technology and bringing back services that were previously cut due to COVID impacted positions.
